February 29 must be declared a public holiday

Mr. President, We know that you are committed to the values of fairness that underlie our democracy, as well as that of fairly paid labor. You are aware that leap years have an extra day. Our annual earnings are negotiated based on 365 days. It is just plain wrong to work one day more without getting paid for it. In other words, it is not right to work more without earning more. We therefore ask you, with the utmost emphasis, that February 29 be declared a public holiday.
