Florida Sons of Confederate Veterans License Plate

This petition is to Gov. Jeb Bush and the Florida Dept. Of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Florida is one of the few southern states that does not issue a Sons of Confederate Veterans license plate. In a state with so many plates being proposed all the time, I think it is only fair that the State should also issue this plate. It is in no way intended to be racist against any group of people. It is simply a display of our southern heritage. I am merely asking the state of Florida to fairly consider issuing this plate. I am very proud of my ancestors who served in the Confederate Army, and I think it is a shame that a state with such a rich history does not offer this as an optional license plate. Every person who signs this petition would buy one of these plates and pay the extra fee for their plate. Please do not deny us our right to freedom of speech and expression any longer.
