Forsyth County School Safety Petition

This petition is for Paula Gault, Superintendent of Schools and the Forsyth County Board of Education. We are petitioning the need for additional safety measures in the Forsyth County School System. We would like the 1-800-SAY-STOP anonymous tip line readily visible in key locations around campuses and buses. This tip line gives the power to the student or teacher who wants to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals. Reprisals are a reality in today's world. We would like students and teachers to have the power to avert or prevent a possible school tragedy. We would like the school system to develop policies in dealing with bullying, harrassment, dangerous pranks and criminal behavior with giving clear cut consequences and/or removal of privileges. We want the Forsyth County School system to install cameras on buses to quickly identify bullies and harrassers. WE would like you to better coordinate with law enforcement in any criminal behavior, hazings, and dangerous pranks. We also would like you to develop clear policies in dealing with any school administrator that bullies and harrasses students or parents and report them to the Georgia Professional Standards and Ethics Board.
