With the rumor of Halo Combat Evolved was going to be remade and remastered in HD, the Halo community was thrilled, and full of anticipation. When the rumor was confirmed, and it was fact that Halo Combat Evolved indeed was being remade, into Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary - then to be shown at E3, Jaws dropped!
343 Industries, along with Saber Interactive both companies of Microsoft have been working on remastering the Halo CE campaign, which looks wonderful, but they excluded the most important thing in the game: Multiplayer. Instead they will include Halo Reach multiplayer with 7 maps from Halo CE and possibly other Halo games.
Ever since Halo Combat Evolved came out, we wanted online multiplayer (Xbox Live) support, to be able to play with our friends
This petition is to hopefully get 343 Industries to remaster and include the original Halo Combat Evolved multiplayer with Halo Combat Anniversary release. This is something they can easily do, all the need to do is add networking code (netcode) to the game. This has been done with other games such as Perfect Dark. For a huge company like 343 Industries, this should not be a huge problem as they're already working on Halo 4.
We want Halo Combat Evolved's original multiplayer, remastered or not included in Halo Combat Anniversary with online multiplayer (Xbox Live) support.
