We, the students of Centennial College are advocating for Children's Breakfast Program in the schools of Toronto.

There is a lot of evidence that breakfast, either at home or at school, is an important way to start the day. Many studies suggest that regular breakfast skippers don't optimize their nutrition during the day. And, going without breakfast can lead to poor behavior. Breakfast eaters are more likely to be calmer, less anxious, more focused and learn better. Breakfast also tends to organize children's day, particularly if they eat breakfast at school.

Breakfast=Achievement

National studies consistently confirm that breakfast can help your children concentrate, think, behave and learn. Eating breakfast:

* Improves classroom performance, including better test scores and grades
* Increases children's ability to focus and concentrate on school work
* Decreases behavior problems, tardiness and visits to the school nurse
* Increases attendance rate

Just as important, when students routinely start their day with breakfast, chances are good that it will become a habit that carries into their teenage and adult years.

For some families, healthy breakfast a luxury. And we all know at least one family who's going through rough times. It's time for the government to step in and help these young minds and bodies. It is our obligation, as a society, as a whole to support tomorrow's generation, our future.

We would like to raise awareness on the importance of children breakfast and have free breakfast program in our schools to create tomorrow's master minds.

Please join and help the cause..

Thank you!
