URGENT ACTION REQUESTED

Dear Sir/Madam:
We, the undersigned, are writing to express our strongest concern over the deportation of Yashar Shekoohi the Iranian Political refugee from the UK back to Iran.
Yashar fled Iran in 2000 and has been refused by the Home-Office and the Court of Appeal and is facing the thread of being deported. However despite the problems he has undergone, Yashar has managed to complete a degree in Marketing and is currently doing his MSC in strategic Marketing. He has also secured a Phd research position in one of the top UK universities for the coming educational year.
We fear for the live of Yashar given the Islamic Republic's record of egregious human rights abuses. He will face persecution, torture, and possibly death if returned to Iran.
We urge the UNHCR to intervene appropriately and to stop the deportation process by the UK immigration police. Thank you in advance. Your kindness and compassion will be greatly appreciated by the Iranian community.
