By signing this petition, I submit that I reside within the AtlantaPublic Schools boundaries, and I support the startup of The IntownAcademy, a K-8 free public charter school. I understand that thisschool will be located within the Atlanta Public Schools district, andwill be a tuition-free school of choice to be located within a radiusof 3 miles from Piedmont Park, and is proposed to startup late July2010.
The mission of The Intown Academy is to educate K-8 students in anintimate, and innovative community-based, inquiry driven schoolsetting, creating an educational center of excellence that embodies thediversity, creativity, and the global and entrepreneurial character ofthe intown Atlanta communities.
