Michael Bourgeois was a loving father, son, uncle, brother, and friend. He worked at River Bend Nuclear Station. He was an active and dedicated volunteer firefighter in St. Francisville, Louisiana. He enjoyed life and was always trying to help people. He was killed on December 23, 2005, only 16 days after his birthday, my daddy was only 43. He knew he could not drive that night, so he asked Julie Meyer if she could. He put his life in her hands. Knowing she couldnt drive, Julie took the wheel. She lost control of the car, while Michael slept in the front passenger seat; he was partially ejected and died due to his spinal cord snapping. Julie Meyer received minor back injuries and was prescribed Ibuprofen. Today, Julie Meyer is living and may not be getting any punishment! Michaels two daughters have to grow up without a daddy. Is this fair? I dont think so. I think Julie should pay for what she has done.
Julie has taken someone very special away from everyone. She has taken a person who can never be replaced. This may be her 2nd offense of a D.W.I. We need to make sure that this doesnt happen again. We cant take a risk of her killing another innocent person. For this, will you please give Julie what she deserves?
