Keep Marty Schottenheimer as Coach of the Chargers

As fans of the San Diego Chargers, we are deeply dismayed by the recent rumors surrounding the potential dismissal of Marty Schottenheimer ("Marty") as head coach of San Diego's NFL team, and request that he be allowed to continue in said role.

We urge you to recognize that the early departure of the Chargers from this year's playoffs, while unfortunate, was not the result of poor coaching on the behalf of Marty. We similarly request that you review his list of achievements as the team's pilot, and consider our favor of his performance.

The San Diego Chargers have prospered under Marty's leadership, and we consider him to be as much a part of our team as anyone in uniform.

Please, do not allow the personality conflict between Marty and AJ Smith, nor Marty's over-hyped post-season record influence your decision...and ensure that Marty is coaching our Chargers next season!
