There should be a school speed zone and school crosswalk near Early Childhood on 8th Street in Quincy,IL.
Early Childhood center provides Head Start and Pre-K classes for at risk children in the Quincy community. As of today there is no school speed zone or school crosswalk markings. Early Childhood is a public school, ran through the Quincy School district.
Our Concerns are as follows:
1) We are the only public school without a speedzone and/or crosswalk.
2) We the parents of young children are often attending to more than one while while we unload our vehicles on a busy street.
3) Impusivity/Awareness at the ages of 3-5
4)Students walk around the outside of the building during the day.
