Issue: The Residents of Wood & Landrum Roads are Seeking to Have These Public Roads CLOSED
As a Fulton Co. Citizen, I support Keeping ALL Public Roads Open for the Following Reasons:
Fulton County Public Works, 911, Police, and Fire do not support the closure of Wood and Landrum Roads
It is not in the best interest of the county or Community for Public roads to be closed
Public roads are paid for and maintained by Fulton County Tax Payers
Fulton Countys transportation is already strained it is financially unsound to close Public roads
Wood and Landrum Roads are 2 of the 6 East West Connectors for 8 miles between Birmingham Highway and Freemanville Roads, closing 1/3 of the connectors is not acceptable
Closing Public roads will only add to our growing traffic problems
Residents cite safety as a reason to close these public roads safety is a concern for ALL public roads
Safety is not a valid reason to close a public road- other alternatives exist
If Any public Road is Ever Considered for Closure, I would expect the road to be purchased by the Homeowners at Fair Market Value the Value of the Road itself, road Infrastructures, and Dedicated Right-of-way
