It has been 59 years since independence and we have come a long way towards prosperity. We have acquired nuclear technology, sent rockets and satellites to the sky, we are considered to be the next economic power by the rest of World and yet we are unable to provide security to our people.
11th July, 2006 - 7 bomb blasts in Mumbai local trains killed and injured hundreds of innocent Indians returning home to their loved ones. This was not an isolated terrorist incident. Such acts of horror have been happening to us for decades and each time the terrorist come up with new ways to massacre us and try to divide us.
Today we sign this petition and want the Government of India to do more to provide security to its citizens. We need our Government to secure the borders, have better spy networks so we can be aware of who our enemies are and what they are plotting instead of pointing fingers in the dark. With our satellites in space and our progress in technology, we should be able to collect photographs and other evidence against the Countries who are harboring terrorists and make a better case to the World, so the World cannot deny anymore who the axis of evil are. Also we need to have better disaster control where our police and armed forces take more responsibility in helping the people and not clearing roads for politician visits and hindering with rescue. And lastly we need to send a stronger message to these terrorist organizations that India will not tolerate their cowardly acts and anyone trying to harm our freedom to live and let live will pay the price.
We stand together with the Government of India and we have full faith in its Governance and we hope that necessary steps will be taken soon to secure our beautiful Nation and its people.
