Matchmaking support for Halo: ODST

Since 2001, you have been creating a universe that has not only revolutionized the first person shooter genre, but rivaled Hollywood blockbusters in sales. The world that Halo represents is a world that fans have begged for you to continue, and keep alive. Thankfully you have listened to our cries.
When Halo 2 launched in November of 2004, I remember playing the new matchmaking system you created and thinking to myself that "I have now been spoiled for any game to come that doesn't use this feature". That ability to meet, and play with new gamers is one of the reasons why the Halo franchise is so popular and long lasting. With your newest iteration of the series, I do not understand why you failed to include such a noteworthy feature.
This petition is asking one simple thing: Can you please make Xbox Live matchmaking a feature in the Firefight mode in Halo: ODST?
The inclusion of this feature would solidify Halo: ODST's place in the long line of great games from your studios. Please help us enjoy your creation even more than we already are.

please bungie it's very boring not having matchmaking on ODST. Most of my friends don't even play it alot so i have to play solo and that gets old. Add Matchmaking!!!

I strongly agree with this petition, for I am from Mexico and it is almost impossible to have a good connection with anyone outside of Mexico. It would be great if this iteration was included in this superb game.

It really could use this option. More players are better with Firefight mode, and not everyone has friends on hand to play with.
