My Little Pony Toys

In October of 2010, The Hub Network released a reboot of the My Little Pony TV franchise under the name, "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic." Due to word of mouth on imageboard websites, the show very quickly gained a massive following of men ages 15-40. Hasbro, Inc, the owner of the Hub Network and the My Little Pony franchise, released a new line of toys soon afterward. These toys included characters from the show and accessories fitting their canon personalities. Unfortunatly, the distribution of the toys was limited, and many fans of the show were unable to get the merchandise they seeked.

Later on, Hasbro began releasing new editions of these toys, featuring the same ponies with different colorations and cutie marks (symbols on the ponies' flanks signifying their personalities and callings in life). These were met with varying reactions from the community following the show. While the spectrum was broad, the near-unanimous consensus was outrage at the laziness and money-grubbing ways of Hasbro, Inc.

By signing this petition, you signify your agreement with the following:

1) Hasbro, Inc. has fallen short of the older male community's expectations of high quality, unique, and relevant merchandise, specifically in the realm of toys and figurines.

2) Simple recolorations of existing toys do not satisfy the demand and fail to tap the large, unignorable, yet unexpected consumer market.

3) If Hasbro, Inc. were to see the opportunity laying at rest and seize it by creating and distributing high quality, show accurate toys and figurines, we (the undersigned) shall purchase such merchandise.

The author of this petition has discussed the above matters with members of the My Little Pony fan community and has found a general agreement on how Hasbro, Inc. could improve their merchandise:

1) Toys, playsets, figurines, and other collectables should be show accurate in appearance, and any accessories and play settings included should be show accurate as well.
Example: The Princess Celestia figurine should not be pink. Applejack's farm truck should not be pink.

2) Before resorting to recolorations of current toys and figurines, it is our recommendation that Hasbro, Inc. considers creating and releasing toys, playsets, and/or figurines for background characters, including but not limited to: Lyra, Bon-Bon, Derpy Hooves, Doctor Whooves, Princess Luna, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Pokey Pierce, and Spike.

3) Distribution of toys, playsets, and figurines present and future needs to be more encompassing.

We, the undersigned, hope that this petition will reach the hands of influential figures at Hasbro, Inc. Thank you for reading, and please sign below.
