According to a 2016 Statistics Canada table, Nova Scotia has the second highest number of people over the age of 65 in Canada based on provincial populations. Nova Scotia could be progressive and allow more providers whose expense would qualify you to a credit for income tax purposes e.g. Acupuncturist, Audiologist, Chiropodist, Hearing aid practitioner, Homeopath, Osteopathy, Traditional chinese medicine are some practitioners who provide a personal touch - a valuable service today, local jobs and expertise, Yes the list in every province is different and you can see the list click here . This at a time when we have many retiring doctors and a real challenge to recruit more and/or enough.
Seniors deserve personal caring, easier access and more choices.
This is a good time to make the issue known.
