Regarding: Proposed Corral Canyon Road Traffic Signal
I hereby express my opposition to any traffic signal at the intersection of Corral Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway.
The project has been propelled by concerns for safety, yet the City's study determined the only warrant was for traffic during the morning peak hour.
Therefore, any safety benefits a signal could provide are unproven. Based on statistics, any benefits would quite possibly be outweighed by other safety liabilities, plus increased delays.
I encourage The City of Malibu and CalTrans to explore alternatives for improving traffic flow and safety on PCH and intersections to it throughout Malibu.
