To all our friends,
As many of you are aware my brother in law, Rusty Perry, lost his 7 year old son Austin in April 2007 in a horrific accident when he was hit by a car while going after his dog.
Rustys family has been nominated for the ABC Extreme Home Makeover. His wife Becky received a phone call from ABC on Dec. 14th informing her that their family was still in the running to be chosen. They still have not heard from ABC as to whether they have been chosen or not.
I was thinking why dont we try to get a petition together and see how many people will sign it and send it to ABC and see if we can help this family out. They have really fallen on some tough times, Rusty got injured at work almost 2 years ago and receives workers comp, and he has not been released from the doctor yet. Becky works a full time job, but their house is in desperate need of repairs. They had major damage from Hurricane Katrina, the roof leaks badly every time there is a hard rain.
ABC told Becky when they called her that a big part of the decision was going to be the availability of resources in the area. They live in a very rural area in Washington Parish, so I thought this would be a good idea just to show ABC what kind of support this family has!!!! Please attach your name below and forward this to as many people as you can. Please include me in your list.
