Ang pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Palawan sa pamumuno ni Gobernador Joel T. Reyes ay mangungutang ng 1.1 Billion Pesos sa Philippine Veterans Bank at ang 230 million pesos dito ay dadalhin sa Bayan ng Coron, para sa Reclamation project ng naturang bayan.
Ang utang na 1.1 Billion pesos ay babalikatin at babayaran ng sambayanang Palawenyo sa loob ng 10 taon, samantalang bayan lamang ng Coron ang makikinabang. Ang Coron ay sinilangang bayan ni Gob. Reyes.
Ito ba ay patas o " Fair " para sa mga Palawenyo? TUTULAN, PIGILIN AT HARANGIN ang hakbang na ito ni Gobernador Joel Reyes.
Out of the Php 1,100,000 billion pesos loan, Php 500,000,000 (Five Hundred Million Pesos) shall be spent to finance various projects:
Project
1. Coron Bay Reclamation Project = P 200,000,000
2. Concreting of Coron Airport = P 30,000,000
3. Extension of Legislative Building = P 50,000,000
4. North Provincial Hospital = P 84,000,000
5. Construction of Lying-in Clinics = P 20,000,000
6. Const. of Admin. / Staff House = P 10,000,000
7. Rural Energy Dev't. Program = P 106,000,000
Total Project Cost = Php 500,000,000
LET US OPPOSE THIS MOVE OF GOVERNOR JOEL T. REYES, Palawan's future in the next Ten (10) years will be compromised because of this unwise decision.
