Petition to the RIAA and the other music and video companies.

We the undersigned, do not ask, but demand that you stop going after people who use peer-to-peer network systems for downloading music, movies, and software.

Peer-to-peer networks are used as a medium similar to radio, cable TV, or dish networks. They inform the public of new releases, enforce a try it before you Buy it system, make it easy for people to download legacy music, videos, and software that are no longer available for public sales, and also allow people In other countries to watch movies and listen to music that is not otherwise available in that country.

As for those of us who are tax payers in the United States of America, we
Do not wish our tax dollars to be wasted to house basically INNOCENT people
In jail, or pay for court systems to prosecute people for something so petty, when they can better spend their time putting murderers and rapists behind bars.

We the people who either user or support the use of peer-to-peer networks, offer a compromise. We would like to see these services offer a monthly charge of $5 to $10 USD, they majority of those profits going to the RIAA and other organizations who are entitled to that money.

This is so that regardless of if they download it, or buy it in the store, they are still paying for it, thus solving the entire problem.

Until you stop going after individuals, and put this system in place, we the
Undersigned will boycott all video, software, and music sales. If we are going to purchase such items, we will do so at a pawnshop, resale shop, or a music and video rental store, that sells these items used.

We demand that negotiations for implementing this system start immediately.
We also demand that you cease and desist going after individuals in court
For distributing and downloading such media immediately.

We will continue to boycott all retail sales until a compromise is obtained.
