Friends of R-Three,



I need your help. This is more important to me than selling my music or attracting new fans or anything related to R-Three music. It's not about big ideas and it's not about self promotion.



This is about saving someone's life.



My friend Rebecca Fortune has, for the last 6 months or so, been suffering from a digestive disorder that has her unable to take in nourishment and vomiting blood several times every day. She's been losing weight steadily and is now down to 85 pounds!



She has no health insurance and as a result the doctors who could and SHOULD be trying to save her life, keep rescheduling her appointments out past the point where she'll still be alive to make them! With the exception of a few doctors, their treatment of her is horrible. In this amazing country, she's being left to die a slow death because she didn't have health insurance when she got sick and can't get it now because she is already sick.



I've included a bit from her latest blog below but I'm wondering if you can send this to as many people as you know and see if we can't get the people who can do something about it, to care, just a little bit.



I'm also trying to figure out a way to raise enough money for the operation she needs so I'll be in touch, but this is a start.



This is real, it's important and time is critical.









I've been watching helplessly as Bec's condition has worsened for the last months and none of the people who could help her have treated her like her life is important. We say life is sacred, but her life isn't? I refuse to accept that. This isn't someone playing the victim, this is someone refusing to be a victim, but she needs all of our help.

I finally got home yesterday evening from the hospital. I'm down to 85 pounds and have had a lot of trouble. I had a dye test in March(Barium dye) and come to find out, some of it was still in my body. It's just unbelievable. Anyway, I've started an email campaign toward the doctor that does the gastric pacemaker surgery and to our congressman. If you feel so inclined, please join in with our efforts. Thank you soooo much. *hugs*

OK...additional information that he may need. I need a gastric pacemaker, but am refused that option due to lack of insurance. I'm being treated at UMC(University Medical Center - Jackson, MS.)
