Please Improve Hinjewadi Roads, Traffic, Transport Service

Dear Respected Mrs. Supriya Sule Madam,

Automotive & IT Industry in addition to being called as Oxford of the East has put Pune on the International map and has been so far a favourite destination to FDI for what Pune offers in terms of health, safety and quality of life. The quality of life is deteriorating and speedily..Lets take one example of how quality of life of commuters to Hinjawadi is deteriorating-

One of the key expectation of everyone at work is spend less time in commute, but over several weeks we have observed that the commute time is increasing day by day, Hinjewadi entry being the bottleneck, leading to taking over 40 minutes for 2 km distance. It can be attributed to mainly:

1. Only two 'entry and exit' for people coming from Aundh, Baner, Pune city, Kothrud and Kalewadi, Pimpri, Chinchwad and Nigdi.
2. On the main entrance to Hinjawadi, people lose patience due to mounting traffic that leads to driver indiscipline of driving on wrong side leading to traffic congestion. Add to that goods carriers and transport vehicles wanting to cut traffic to cross roads at peak hours.
3. Condition of other routes to enter Hinjawadi chowk is worsening due to potholes and water clogging.

In addition, we burn in excess of few thousand litres of petrol & diesel due to this traffic congestion which is sheer national waste and creating huge pollution which impacts most to the Hinjawadi residents and employees who commute, we can very much avoid this only if we take radical actions asap.
we need urgent attention from your office on the following 2 counts:
1. Road repair and maintenance work to be taken up immediately by the concerned [PWD/MIDC/PCMC/Hinjewadi Grampanchayat]
2. Expeditious clearance and implementation of increasing Bus Frequency for Pune [Kothrud, Aundh, PMC] & PCMC areas by PMPML

At a gross level, we have seen that other states are able to attract more industries than Maharashtra in last few years, industrial growth is happening northwards of Maharashtra, it is only us to blame if we dont maintain conducive atmosphere for not just investors and corporate but also to the employees/residents who are brand ambassadors of Pune, it is they who make Pune a favourite destination.

I understand, Hinjewadi Industries Association(HIA) is working with Pune/Pimpari Chinchwad municipal corporation and Hinjewadi Grampanchayat to improve this condition. But we have not seen any substantial and permanent remedies/ results so far. I hope this request will be read as voice of many like me.

Your visit to Hinjewadi at peak hours would itself make the road conditions better. We sincerely request you to visit any IT industry in Hinjewadi along with MIDC and PWD officers during peak hours and experience what we struggle to reach the office every day.

It would be great if you let us know the dates by which it can be done on urgent basis.
