Pottsville Maroons 1925 NFL Championship

We, the undersigned, ask the NFL to proclaim the Pottsville Maroons the 1925 NFL champion; to restore the legacy of one of the most dominant, influential and important teams in NFL history; and to consider several members of the team, including Maroons running back Tony Latone, for enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Despite the controversial elements surrounding the 1925 NFL title, we believe that the overwhelming evidence as laid out in ESPN senior writer David Flemings book Breaker Boys: The NFLs Greatest Team and the Stolen 1925 Championship proves that the Pottsville Maroons are the rightful owners of the 1925 NFL title.
In 1925 Pottsville was universally regarded as the best football team in the world. The talented, ground-breaking and honorable players on the Maroons not only helped legitimize the fledgling NFL, they also inspired the kind of transcendent civic pride that would later turn pro football into our national pastime. Yet instead of rewarding them for their pioneering efforts, the NFL has robbed the Maroons of their proper place in football history.
An enormous amount of irrefutable evidence exists in support of the Maroons claim to the 1925 NFL title. And we are certain any logical, open and unbiased examination of the facts by the NFL will lead to this simple, and long overdue declaration:
The Pottsville Maroons are the true 1925 NFL champions.
