Proposed Change in Falkland's Electoral District

It is important that Falkland residents make a strong stand against the proposed change of Falkland's Federal Electoral District from Okanagan Shuswap to Central Coquihalla. If the proposed change occurs we will be lumped in with Logan Lake, Merritt, and downtown Kelowna instead of Salmon Arm, Armstrong and Vernon, which makes no economic or geographical sense. Where does a proud young family from Falkland go to have a baby? Where do our retired residents go for a doctor's appointment? Where do our teenagers attend school? Where does an ambulance respond from in an emergency? Where do our ranchers go to work with the forestry on range and land use plans? Where does our RCMP report to? Where do the majority of our residents work? A change in our Federal Electoral District makes no economic or regional sense. In short, please sign this very important petition.
