This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the passing our father, Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, of blessed memory. It still feels like only yesterday; we miss him more than we could ever describe. Yet, the most mind-blowing thing is that his soul, his message, and his music still lives on in all of us.
There are few people who touched the hearts of so many, and changed the lives of those he never physically met in the way our father did. When you met him and was embraced by him everything would change. He had the power to make us all believe that there was true goodness, and that we could accomplish anything. Countless times, weve heard this from people all over the world.
His beautiful songs and holy, uplifting teachings continue to bring light and strength to us, even now, 10 years later.
We ask you to support us in a wonderful and fitting tribute to him:
We have been given the opportunity to rename West 79th Street from Broadway to Riverside Drive in his name, Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach Way. It is only too appropriate to honor him in this way, to forever remember how he changed lives as he walked up and down this street.
In order to make this happen, we need your help. Please sign this petition and join with us to thank our father, Reb Shlomo, for having lived and given us all so much.
