Refuse the Rezoning Application for 1755 W. 14th Ave., Vancouver

To the Mayor and Counsel,
WHEREAS there has been an Application made to the City of Vancouver to rezone the property located at 1755 W. 14th Avenue from the current RM-3 designation to CD-1 (Comprehensive Development) so as to construct, among other things, a large 12 story apartment tower in the green space to the west of the present large apartment tower, AND WHEREAS this propert was already previously rezoned from residential to the current RM-3 designation to allow the owners to tear down a series of houses and build a 13 story building, AND WHEREAS the present building was primarily approved because the then developer agreed to keep a large green space to the west of the building, AND WHEREAS we, the residents and neighbours of the property, and concerned citizens of the City of Vancouver, wish to retain the green space in this neighbourhood and hold the developers to their original agreement regarding the green space,
WE URGE THE CITY TO REFUSE THIS APPLICATION TO REZONE.
