We petition the Obama Campaign to reject all calls for a unity ticket to be achieved by adding Senator Clinton as Senator Obamas running mate.
1) Senator Clintons attacks on Senator Obama have been so vitriolic and of such a nature as to render her sudden support of him totally lacking in credibility.
2) Senator Clintons presence on the ticket would utterly destroy the Obama Brand.
3) Senator Clinton is incredibly unpopular. Her approval ratings are low and falling. In a general election, her appeal would be severely limited, extending only to loyal Democrats.
4) The Clintons have certainly not been thoroughly vetted as Senator Clinton repeatedly claims. There are many scandals and old wounds which will keep giving the opposition more and more material with which to manufacture attack ads. Then there are the rumors of current and future scandals which will surely be dragged out, possibly in an October surprise, to embarrass the Democratic ticket.
