The intent of this petition is to try to get Brian Herbert to release the notes and outlines for an alleged "Dune 7" novel that his late father, Frank Herbert, was planning. The intent of this petition is not to dissuade Brian Herbert from writing the seventh Dune novel himself. Certainly Brian is entitled to do whatever he wishes with the notes, as they are legally and otherwise his. This is not an anti-Brian Herbert petition. I started this petition because I feel that it would be unfair to Dune fans to be left merely with Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson's interpretation of what will happen after the novel Chapterhouse: Dune. The signers of this petition merely wish for some kind of organized form of Frank's ideas for the seventh Dune novel, aside from the novel that Brian and Kevin will write. Thank you for your time.
