Release the Music from Mike Leighs Films by Composer Andrew Dickson

From 1982 to 2004, English composer Andrew Dickson has created compelling orchestral music for a number of feature films by Mike Leigh. Dicksons dramatic range is always on key from haunted and melancholy ("Naked," 1993 and "All or Nothing," 2002) to celebratory, yet tongue-in-cheek ("High Hopes," 1988 and "Secrets and Lies," 1996). For such a talented artist, it is discouraging to see that none of these soundtracks have ever been commercially released as standalone music on CD or iTunes.
At a time where we see compilation sets for film scores based on partnerships such as Danny Elfman-and-Tim Burton as well as Tindersticks-and-Claire Denis, we feel it is high time that one for Andrew Dickson-and-Mike Leigh be made available for purchase. This fantastic music has been unfairly overlooked for far too long, and it will surely produce a bestselling album.
Film score enthusiasts have been eager to listen to the complete soundtracks from the following feature films:
Meantime (TV Movie) (1982)
High Hopes (1988) (European Film Awards Winner for Best Composer)
Naked (1993)
Secrets and Lies (1996)
All or Nothing (2002)
Vera Drake (2004)
These are five out of twelve of Mike Leighs theatrically released films as well as one released for television.
