Dear Governor Perry:

In 2002 an atrocity was revealed to be taking place in Texas and across the United States. Willed Body Programs have been the target of the black market. Employees of higher educational institutes have used their prestige and positions to put money into their own pockets. This is not only immoral and unethical it is illegal.

State appellate courts have ruled in favor of protecting The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston from any civil action regarding their breach of contract. This is WRONG. The Anatomical Board of the State of Texas did not monitor these programs.

The State of Texas owes the families of these victims restitution for their grief and suffering. This has gone on now for THREE (3) years. A settlement should have been offered in 2002.

The donors to this Willed Body Program at UTMB, were people. They have fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, wives, children, grandparents and grandchildren.

These people were farmers, doctors, and veterans. They did not deserve to be treated with such disrespect.

You are kindly urged to rescind the sovereign immunity claim from the University of Texas Medical Branch and instruct UTMB to resolve this grievance with the donors families respectively and to make every effort to ensure the people of Texas that the remains of their loved ones will never be treated in such a shallow and disrespectful manner ever again.
