Residents Only Parking in Reddanick Area of Truro

Parking in or near City Centres is always problematic however in the Redannick area of Truro (including Daniell Road, Redannick Lane and Redannick Crescent) this problem is exacerbated greatly by the managers of Truro Health Park stopping their staff parking on site and by the newly formed Residents Only parking schemes in adjacent residential areas of Truro. This has led to commuters and shoppers parking in the Redannick area in great numbers and in often unsafe positions. The blocking of driveways is commonplace and where the road narrows, blockages and jams often occur. With many children walking to school, the often congested roads are dangerous, made worse by the frustrated commuter desperately trying to find the precious spot.

As a resident, you will be charged a small annual charge for Residents Only Parking but only if you want to park on the road. If you are lucky and own a driveway or private parking space you can opt not to purchase a permit. The charge for the permit, when calculated per car per day, is very small (expected to be around £25 per annum for the first car and £32 per annum for a second)

Action is needed now; sign up and spread the word. The County Council will listen and will take action.
