Respect Iran's Territorial Integrity

Very recently, the so-called Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI)held a close-door event in a Washington D.C. suburb hotel supposedely to celebrate the anniversary of the former Soviet Republic. In reality, in such a meeting, they made no mistery of their desire of a "Federal Iran". The word "federal" hides a more dangerous agenda, which is separatism. The PDKI is not the only entity to wish for it. Other groups such as the so-called "Democratic Solidarity Party of al-Ahwaz", "Balochistan People's Front", "Federal-Democratic Movement of Azerbaijan", "National Movement of Iranian Turkmenistan" and "National Movement of Iranian Turkmenistan", are separatist goals.

We the undersigned would like to remind the unaware international community and public opinion that Iranians of Azari, Kurd, Baluch, Arab or Lor ethny are in their absolute majority deeply attached to their only country, Iran, and will resort to any mean to defend it from any aggression or attempt to detach it.

It's noteworthy also to remind that the very same leaders of the illegitimate Islamic Republic regime are themselves from different ethnies. Repression in Iran is directed against those who oppose the theocratic system, not for belonging to a specific ethnic group.

We're very concerned about the repercussions of the events in Kosovo and fear that they will be used by the unpopular separatist groups to advance their destructive claims that would turn Iran into another Yugoslavia, paving the way for a bloody civil war.

We therefore demand the international community and public opinion to listen to the concerns of the majority of Iranians and respect them by firmly rejecting separatist agendas.

A democratic and united Iran will not only be respectful of Iranian people and their great history, but will be a major source of stability in a turmoiled region, too.
