Return Devon Prep Mixers

We, who know the amazing event that is a Devon Prep Mixer, request that you allow these mixers to keep occurring. We feel that the people who show up to these events, enjoy themselves, and follow the rules should still be able to do that. We should not be punished for something that a small amount of people did. If someone shows up to school drunk, they would be expelled, or, if not expelled, in major trouble. The people who show up drunk to these events are the ones deserving of punishment.

I have been told that it is an issue for the school if people are caught drunk at its events. This can be cut down by random testing for whether or not someone is drunk. If there is a large enough risk of getting caught, people would be less likely to do something wrong. I have been told that the school has a way of testing. Even if this is considered an inconvenience, remember that some inconvenience will need to occur to get a compromise. This will allow the students who have attended these events to continue to do so, and the administration will not have the issue of drunk people at their events.

Taking that into mind, we ask you to allow the mixers to happen again this year.
