We, the undersigned, ask that those who have the power to do so canonize the holy maiden of God, Kateri Tekakwitha.
God caused to blossom on the banks of the Mohawk and of the St. Lawrence Rivers, the pure and tender Lily, Kateri Tekakwitha. Grant, we beseech you, the favor we beg; that this Young Lover of Jesus and of His Cross may soon be counted among the Saints by Holy Mother Church.
If canonized, she will be the first Native American to receive the honor of sainthood. We believe that she deserves such an honor. Please consider our request. Peace be with you, and God bless.
