To the City of San Rafael:
After countless bike jumps and locations being torn down or ruined simply for no reason, mountain bikers and bmxers alike have been left with no where to bike. All over San Rafael and Marin County, skate parks and empty tennis courts have been made for skateboards and skateboarders only to use. Bikers have nowhere to ride except the city streets or places that run the risk of being torn down. This is both dangerous and unlawful. Underneath the overpass onto 101, in empty lots, or even an empty spot downtown would be perfect. Any piece of unused land large enough to have some reasonable jumps built would be just fine. All we ask from the city is to bring in a few loads of dirt to help with the building. Once the dirt is dumped, the bikers can go from there. If this is to much to ask, us riders are so dedicated that we will come out with our own shovels and build them ourselves. This will not only benefit the 50+ mountain bike and bmx riders in the San Rafael area, but reduce the risk of accidents on sidewalks, and help to prevent the building of jumps in illegal places. All of San Rafael's bikers will highly appreciate your agreement with us and are commited to help make biking a safe sport in hopes that the City of San Rafael will make it possible to put together a succesful place for bikers to ride.
