Please sign this petiton in hopes fo saving one of Richmond's most beautiful trees. The property next to ours is slated for redevelopment and the Citry of Richmond has approved the removal of a large, healthy, and vibrant flowering magnolia tree. This tree is well over 30 years old and is magnificent. Each spring it's large beautiful white blossoms are truly a wonder to behold. This tree has provided shade and priviacy to both properties as well as years of enjoyment to children of the neighbourhood as they climb the limbs and picnic in the shade. It is the home to nesting birds, squirrels, bees, even the occasional raccoon, owl, and hawk.
I have stood idly by as so many beautiful trees in our neighbourhood have been destroyed, along with their oxegen creating capacity. There is time to try and prevent the loss of my favourite tree and save it for the enjoyment of future generations.
Please make the City of Richmond reconsider their decision to destroy this tree.
