Where were you September 8th 2007? If you're a Shayne Ward fan, it's highly likely you were at the Variety Club's gala dinner in Manchester held in Shayne's honour. For those lucky enough to have attended, it is a night which holds many special memories that will never be forgotten.
In 2005 Shayne was crowned the winner of the Xfactor by huge public demand. Over 3 years later he's still here doing what he does best not only in the UK, but internationally as well. With a new album due for release summer 2009 and a tour expected to follow, we the fans would like to propose something spectacular - an event similar to the gala, but exclusively for the fans!
Despite the current increased interest in winners from the Xfactor, Shayne has had a bizarre lack of exposure, especially within the UK of late. Demand for him as an artist is still as strong as ever though. This is evident by reading the comments on his official online forum and from the Facebook fangroup Tell Him. An event such as the one this petition aims to bring about would allow Shayne to showcase new material to the people that matter - his fans, the ones who buy his music and attend his concerts. This would be a fantastic chance to celebrate Shayne's success so far and what will no doubt be a triumphant return to the UK charts.
