We the undersigned citizens call upon Belfast City Council to reverse their decision to deny funding to the St Patricks Carnival Committee.
Their decision is motivated by a desire to prevent thousands of people displaying and enjoying their Irish cultural identity.
St Patricks Day is celebrated and recognised all over the world except Belfast.

It is ridiculous that we are not allowed any funding for a family oriented celebration but 10k punds can be given for a Christmas tree to be decked out in paramilitary colours for the shankill!
