We, the undersigned, feel that the following rights will be violated as a result of the Divine Strake test:
- the rights of the Western Shoshone Nation;
- the rights of downwinders to clean air and water; and
- the rights of United States citizens to live without fear of physical or psychological harm from military tests or demonstrations planned and conducted by the United States Department of Defense.
We feel that it has been your choice to not expend the plentiful resources available to you to adjust plans for conducting Divine Strake in a manner that respects these rights.
We urge you to respect these rights by immediately cancelling the Divine Strake test.
