Stop sales of News International publications at the Co-operative Food

The Co-operative Food Group,on a daily basis, sell papers printed and owned by News International. As shown by recent reports in the wider media (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-14025134, http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14035270 & http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-12253968) any newspaper printed by News International cannot be trusted to be ethical. This flies in the face of the Co-operative Food's statement of being an 'Ethical' company. Therefore the aim of this petition is to convince the Co-op Food Group to drop its sales of News International publications and be the first supermarket to show that it really can take an ethical stand on issues that matter to its customers. If this petition is well received, it shall be passed on to both the head of the Co-op Food Group and the head of the Membership organisation, who the Co-op group say they listen to intently. Please state if you are a Co-operative member or not below as this will add more weight to the petition when published.

In conclusion, the undersigned ask that the Co-operative Food group show their commitment to maintaining ethical policies by ceasing the sales of all News International publications in their establishments due to the highly un-ethical practices that have been highlighted in recent media coverage.
