Stop the Greenwood Hill Multi-Use Trail

The Greenwood Hill Multi-Use Trail has not been properly planned, budgeted for, nor implemented in a manner aligned with our democratic values. Please sign this petition to ask Wellesley Council to put a hold on The Greenwood Hill Road Multi-Use Trail and all future village trails until we have had public consultation and a comprehensive plan has been voted on and implemented. A comprehensive plan would include items such as a complete map of existing and future trails, a safety audit, an environmental assessment, a complete budget including where the monies for these projects are coming from and how and when they will be spent, a trail upkeep and maintenance plan, a project management component, and open and clear consultation with all stake holders, especially those directly affected by such projects. This trail negatively impacts many properties along the trail (e.g. loss of trees, unusable driveways). By moving the trail to the East side of the road many of our concerns could be solved and no properties affected. Trails are a welcome addition to the community as long as they have been properly planned for, budget for, and implemented correctly.
