Participants in Scarborough Youth Football and taxpayers of Scarborough are starting this petition regarding the issue of using Willey Field at the end of Tenney Lane. This issue is affecting the youth football program scheduling and fundraising. Because of a resident that lives in the area, our schedule may be switched causing us to lose fundraising money and potentially split up families by making them travel to a variety of fields to support their child's desire to play youth football.
(Residents that live in the Tenney Lane development knew there was a town park that is paid for by all of the taxpayers of the town and used for community use when they built and/or bought a house.)
We are asking the Town of Scarborough to honor their contract and allow Scarborough Youth Football to keep it's schedule of practicing and hosting games on Saturdays at Willey Field for the 8 week Youth Football season.
