Term limits for United States Congress and Senate members

Federally Elected Senators and Federally Elected Representatives currently have no expiration or limit on the amount of terms they can serve for our government. We, the people of the United States of America, would like to see term limits imposed for both of these above mentioned positions. Our President ( for good reason ) has a Two Term Limit.

Federally elected Senators should be limited with two six year terms for a total of twelve years of public office. Federally elected Representatives should be limited to three four year terms in office for a total of twelve years.

Our goal as citizens of the United States of America is to stop the corruption in Washington D.C. Bring newly elected officials on a consistent basis into Washington D.C. to protect and serve the countries citizens. It is well documented on the corruption and undue influence (via lobbyists and special interest groups) that transcends many of our senior elected officials.

With term limits put in place, it will help to stop the corruption. It will give new life to all parties concerned as officials have political machines in their districts and states that make it nearly impossible due to the amount of funds they have to even be competitive in broad-based elections. This is a right that is owed to the public. Many of these officials are serving for twenty-five to thirty years in office. They admittedly become complacent and due not respond to the public and keep our best interest at heart. Hear our voices and make the changes necessary to move our country forward.
