The End to Blood Diamonds

I understand the horrific practices that surround the mining and trading of certain diamonds. I am not an boycotting the diamond industry. However, that doesnt mean that I will buy diamonds blindly.

Although the powerful "Kimberly Process" has been passed by legislation to prevent illegal diamond trade. Evidence shows that there are still some blood diamonds in circulation. Currently, there are innocent men and women, including children, who are suffering because of blood diamonds. As a concerned individual, I want to do what I can to help stop this illegal practice. I support the Clean Diamond Act. I believe that we should do more than support such steps and take things further. I want to educate those who are unaware of the horrific damage that the selling of blood diamonds creates. I want to put stress on lawmakers to take the punishment and prosecution of those who support and participate in the distribution of blood diamonds very seriously.
