Unfair SSI Judgment - Please Save My Mom

In 1996 my mother was declared disabled by the U.S. Government after suffering numerous neurological and cognitive problems, sustaining a head injury while on the job, and physical ailments later determined to be arrhythmias and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome incited by a harsh battle with Mono. My mother fought with Social Security to get the money from them that was supposed to be supporting her and me, then 12. In 1999-2000 after a long battle the SSI was approved and my mother began receiving payment. When she went to get the back pay (from 96-99) the judge declared her not-disabled and fit for work. She now in 2007, after over a decade of being disabled in the governments eyes is miraculously able to work and owes the government back somewhere over $150,000. She has appealed the decision and received the same answer despite the letters, records, and statements of numerous doctors, nuero-psychiatrists, neurologists, sleep clinic studies, psychiatrists, and various other specialists.

From 12 to now at 23 I have watched my mother transformed from a woman who would play with me, exhaust me even, and outwit me at every turn into a woman who is in too much pain daily to manage to have enough energy to do her dishes sometimes, let alone hold down a 9 to 5, seven day a week job.

With the judge unable to see reason and her doctors and lawyers horrified at the outcome I turn to you with this plea. My mother is a simple, incredible woman. The government that was supposed to protect her, that she served in the army for, that she worked for as an Arts and Crafts Director for afterwards has failed her. She developed these health problems working in chemicals within the service of the U.S Government that are now considered poisons. They have stolen her health, her youth, and have added undue stress and suffering onto a woman who never thinks of herself, and has always been willing to give everything for a loved one. Please, help her, even if its just to get them to leave her alone. It isnt fair, it isnt just. She has documented every factor of her illness, she has all the doctors, all the paperwork and they are ignoring it.

I send this as a concerned daughter, but I try and gather these signatures to prove that it is more then that. This is just plain wrong.
