Viejas: Stop Supporting Rodeo Cruelty

We, the undersigned, oppose the use of animals as entertainment in rodeos. We ask that Viejas Casino immediately cease its corporate sponsorship of the Lakeside Rodeo in San Diego and the San Diego IronHorse Pro Rodeo Shoot Out, and to support only compassionate, cruelty-free forms of entertainment. Rodeos are based on the mistreatment and exploitation of animals through events such as calf roping, steer riding, bull wrestling, and mutton bustin', where animals are roped around the neck and slammed into the ground with incredible force, and are consistently hit with sticks, often in the face, to force them to move, have their tails twisted, often broken, and are illegally stunned with cattle prods.
