We, the undersigned residents of Woodstock, propose that the purchase by The New York City Department of Protection of Parcel ID #509, which totals 607 acres and includes Yankeetown Pond, Acorn Hill and the Little Beaverkill, form a preserve to be named the Yankeetown Pond Preserve. We recognize that to protect the ecological, educational and senstive nature of these lands and to enhance recreational pursuits, these lands should be restricted from logging and the building of logging roads.
