We want a safe and clean park!

We, concerned citizens of Slave Lake, submit this petition to the owners of Westside Village for review of the  conditions within the mobile home park. It's current conditions that residents must endure are shameful.         The increasing lot fees are for maintenance and repairs for the park. However, time and time again, the increase  doesn't render results. The playground provided for residents children and their playmates is in shambles. The  equipment is falling apart and unsafe. The playgrounds lack of upkeep and garbage receptacles leaves the children playing in complete filth like knives, used condoms, rusty nails and broken glass. Throughout the winter months, residents often after a snowstorm, are hostages in their own driveways. With this previous winter snow removal happening only twice, many times both residents and visitors alike were unable to make their way through the  park safely. The roads only being passable once enough traffic had beaten the snow down, but then leaving the  road rough, pitted and dangerous. Both drivers and pedestrians alike left at risk of bodily harm and/or  damages to their vehicles or personal property.             Far too often for the amount of fees charged a month, the basic upkeep of the park is not fulfilled. Many times repairs to yards, driveways, the playground and roads being done by fed-up residents, when It should be the park management. This isn't fair contractually or ethically. The agreement for paying for lot fees is that they will actually go towards the maintenance of the park.             We want to see the results of the lot fee increase actually maintain and repair problems in the park. We want to  see the playground a safe and clean place for the children to play. We want the roads to be safe and drivable  all year round. We want Westside Village to be a clean, maintained place in our community that Slave Lake, Westside Village residents and yourselves can be proud of!
