Michael Mulvihill and Matt Lasorsa of New Line Home Video
In regards to the DVD release of the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, fans all over the World have been waiting for the inclusion of Deleted Scenes. It is known that for the original DVD release, over 17 Deleted Scenes were hand picked by David Lynch himself. Fans all over the world were greatly disappointed when the DVDs from both New Line and MK2 were released without these scenes.
Since the theatrical release of Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me in 1992, fans have been sending requests to David Lynch, New Line Home Video, Image Entertainment, Video Watchdog Magazine, and MK2 Films requesting the release of these Deleted Scenes on DVD.
It pains us to know that New Line Home Video and David Lynch were so close to releasing these scenes that the negatives were actually pulled from the vault, reviewed, and selected by David Lynch for for inclusion on the original release of the DVD.
We understand the great expense of this project and would hope that New Line Home Video and MK2 Films would work together to help share costs to allow for the release of Deleted Scenes on a new Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me DVD from both companies.
