XM Radio Fan Interaction

Although XM Radio is a national broadcasting system, there is a certain aspect of radio that is being ignored - there is no face-to-face listener interaction with the radio stations. Many local stations participate in community events - broadcasting live, holding contests, and allowing the DJs interaction with their fans. XM personalities do not get the chance to have said interaction they are based in Washington DC, but broadcast into homes, cars, and offices across the country. It can only be assumed that the reason XM doesnt invest time into such activities is because it would be unfair to listeners on the west coast to not be able to interact, since the XM Headquarters are on the east coast. However, those of us that do live near XM Headquarters would like to have said interaction with the stations. If granted, we, the listeners, could attempt to organize some sort of street team, if you will.

This proposal/petition is being created in an effort to get the DJs and XM stations heard in the communities surrounding the tri-state area, thus promoting themselves, but also allowing fan interaction.

To All Signees: If you feel that XM stations should be given the chance to interact with their listeners, please sign this petition, and feel free to comment give us some ideas as to places you would like to see your favorite DJ, or contests that you would like to participate in. Also let us know if you would be willing to participate in a possible street team to help get the word out about XM.
