الموضوع: حق الجالية المصرية في الولايات المتحدة الامريكية في ممارسة حق الانتخاب المباشر
تحية طيبة وبعد..
نعلن نحن الموقعون أدناه، بصفتنا مواطنين مصريين نقيم في دولة الولايات المتحدة الامريكية ، انضمامنا للجمعية الوطنية للتغيير، المفتوحة العضوية للمصريين فى الداخل و الخارج ،ونؤكد تضامننا مع مطالبها المشروعة بتعديل الدستور لتحقيق العدالة الاجتماعية، والسماح للمستقلين بالترشح للرئاسة بدون قيود، وانهاء حالة الطوارئ ، من أجل تنظيم انتخابات مصرية حرة ونزيهة وعادلة.
كما نطالب نحن الموقعون أدناه بحقنا الدستورى فى التصويت في أية انتخابات مصرية قادمة، استنادا إلى الدستور المصري فى مواده رقم (62) والتي تنص على أنه "للمواطن حق الانتخاب وإبداء الرأي في الاستفتاء وفقا لأحكام القانون، ومساهمته في الحياة العامة واجب وطني"؛ ومادة رقم (40) والتي تنص على أن: "المواطنون لدى القانون سواء، وهم متساوون في الحقوق والواجبات العامة، لا تمييز بينهم في ذلك"؛ ومادة رقم (52) والتي تعطي: (للمواطنين حق الهجرة الدائمة أو الموقوتة إلى الخارج...)؛ و مادة رقم (63) والتي تعطي: (لكل فرد حق مخاطبة السلطات العامة كتابة وبتوقيعه...)؛ .

وعليه فإننا نطالبكم باتخاذ ما يلزم من أجراءات - بما في ذلك تعديل القوانين واللوائح ذات الصلة إذا لزم الأمر- بغرض تمكيننا من ممارسة حقنا الشرعي في المشاركة في أية انتخابات مصرية عامة مستقبلا، بما يشمله ذلك من الإيعاز إلى سفارة جمهورية مصر العربية لدى الولايات المتحدة الامريكية ووزارة الداخلية المصرية بتكليف مسئولي السفارة بفتح مراكز اقتراع في مقر السفارة والقنصلية وأية أماكن أخرى مناسبة بغرض تسهيل عملية التصويت للمغتربين المصريين ببطاقة الرقم القومي او بجواز السفر المصري.

ونحن هنا نحملكم المسئولية القانونية حال منعنا من ممارسة حقنا الدستوري المشار إليه أعلاه.

Subject: Right of the Egyptian community in the U. S. to vote in national elections

Greetings:
We, the undersigned, as Egyptian citizens living in the United States of America, proclaim that we have joined the National Assembly for Change,which is open to all Egyptians at home and abroad. We assert our solidarity with its legitimate demands, including to amend the Constitution towards social justice, to allow without restrictions independents to run for Presidential Elections, to end the state of emergency, and to conduct free and fair elections.

We, the undersigned, also claim our constitutional right to vote in any and all future Egyptian elections, based on article No. (62), which states that "citizens have the right to vote and express their opinions in referendums in accordance with the provisions of the law, and their participation in public life is a national duty"; article No. (40), which states that: "All citizens are equal before the law in rights and duties without discrimination among them "; article No. (52) which gives Egyptian citizens the right of permanent or temporary imigration to other countries; and article No. (63) which gives every Egyptian the right to address in writing under his/her signature public authorities.

Accordingly, we urge you to implement such amendments of laws and/or regulations as to irrevocably facilitate our participation in any future Egyptian elections, and to direct both the Egyptian embassy to the US and the the Egyptian Interior Ministry to commission consular and other relevent staff to establish polling stations at embassy and consular premises, as well as facilities in other locations, so that Egyptians can vote using their national ID cards or passports.

We also respectfully bring to your attention the fact that you shall be held legally responsible should our exercise of the above-mentioned constitutional rights be obstructed and/or violated by your government.
